Locotractor is a road-rail vehicle which can operate both on rail tracks and a conventional road.
It can replace traditional locomotives to carry out maintenance maneuvers while offering substantial operative savings and excellent performance.

The “LOCOTRACTOR” model LOK is a rail/road Diesel vehicle with hydraulic traction. It’s produced in 12 models able to substitute the traditional locomotives having a weight of 100 tons.
It’s a very flexible vehicle able to enter and exit the rail-roads and able to move quickly in the plants.
It could be equipped with automatic hooks and remote control which turn the Locotractor in a vehicle quicker and cheaper for the wagons handling.

The “LOKOM” are light locotractors designed for railway use only.
Thanks to the rail traction system on steel wheels, they are able to effect standard works.
For low speed tows, Zephir uses RUBBER – STEEL technology in which it is experienced since 30 years.
These vehicles are cheap and able to replace Diesel hydraulic locomotives up to a weight of 40 tons, working in the industrial installation.

The “Locotractor” CRAB model is a rail/road vehicle, battery electric powered, designed for indoor factories, railways workshops and storehouses.
Its great flexibility, the compact dimensions and the reduced curve radius make the CRAB suitable to move railway rolling stock.

KUBO can be customised to individual requirements with the many available optionals.

The Zephir towing tractors can cover all the requirements of industrial installations.
They are equipped with 2 or 4 driving wheels, POWERSHIFT hydraulic, automatic transmission and with the most modern and common engines on the market. Strong and handy vehicles, they have a weight up to 13 Tons.

Its great flexibility, the compact dimensions and the reduced curve radius (2,55 meters) make the CRAB suitable to move railway rolling stock.
The design of the LOCOTRACTOR traction system incorporates Rubber on Steel technology, which produces twice the adhesion compared to conventional Steel on Steel locomotive wheels, independently from the rail condition.
Whilst the LOCOTRACTOR has a relatively light gross weight, the traction system has the pulling performance that are double those of an equivalent weight locomotive.
