CBP TECHNOLOGY PRINCIPAL · PORTABLE RAILWAY MEASUREMENT

Shinyei Technology

Put repeatable wheel, wheel-load and coupler measurements in the hands of depot technicians without requiring a large fixed inspection system.
RIGHTS & SCOPE

The current agreement is specific. The page is specific too.

CBP's effective 2026 agreement covers railway measurement instruments identified as TY50 / TY50S, TOD, TWL and OCH-3 for the named Indonesian customer scope. Shinyei's wider global catalogue may contain other instruments, but those products are not presented here as CBP's represented scope.

Contractual statusExclusive agency agreement effective 1 September 2026 for the named product and user scope.
Registration statusPrevious Indonesian STP expired 31 August 2026. Replacement STP / PB-UMKU remains unverified and is not implied by this page.
CURRENT CBP-REPRESENTED PRODUCT SCOPE

Four measurement jobs. Five named instrument routes.

01

TY50

Portable wheel-diameter measurement for rolling-stock inspection and maintenance.

Use when
Wheel diameter is the controlling dimensional check.

02

TY50S

Named TY50 variant within the 2026 agreement scope; exact measurement range and configuration are confirmed for the fleet before quotation.

Use when
The TY50S range/configuration matches the wheel requirement.

03

TOD

Portable wheel-flange / tyre dimensional measurement route within the current agreement scope.

Use when
Flange or tyre condition must be quantified at the vehicle.

04

TWL family

Portable static wheel-load measurement for localized wheel-by-wheel or wheel-position checks, subject to model/configuration.

Use when
A compact wheel-load instrument is sufficient for the maintenance procedure.

05

OCH-3

Portable coupler-height measurement for rolling-stock dimensional verification.

Use when
Coupler height must be checked against the vehicle requirement.

GUIDED SELECTION

What do you want to measure?

Start with the measurement job, not the instrument name. This selector stays inside the current CBP agreement scope.

TY50 / TY50S

Start with the TY50 route. CBP confirms wheel diameter range, wheel geometry, reading method and calibration requirement before fixing the exact variant.

Selection remains subject to the actual fleet and measurement procedure.
WHY THIS PRINCIPAL?

Compact tools for repeatable field and depot decisions.

WHAT MOST PEOPLE SEE

“A wheel gauge.”

That description misses the operational point: maintenance staff need repeatable numerical measurements at the vehicle, often without moving it into a large fixed metrology system.

WHAT SHINYEI CHANGES

Portable railway-specific measurement.

The TY, TOD, TWL and OCH routes put defined railway dimensional and load checks into a compact depot workflow, with calibration and measurement procedure remaining explicit.

PROJECT PROOF

Shinyei has a documented Indonesian measurement history.

INDONESIA · PT KAI / KCI HISTORY

Wheel-dimension and wheel-load measurement procurement

CBP's controlled project register includes historical railway wheel-measurement procurement for PT KCJ/KCI and a 2017 PT KAI TWL-2S wheel-load procurement. These records prove Indonesian delivery history for portable railway measurement. They do not establish the present condition of every instrument or expand the 2026 contractual product scope.

WHAT CBP ADDS

CBP converts a measurement need into the correct controlled instrument route.

Measurement definitionClarify what dimension or load actually controls the maintenance decision.
Fleet dataMatch wheel geometry, gauge, coupler and range to the instrument.
Procedure alignmentConfirm how the customer measures, records and accepts the result.
LifecycleCoordinate calibration, repair, verification and replacement support for the installed base.
