The value is in designing maintenance equipment around railway geometry and workshop flow: how a bogie is removed and turned, how technicians reach roof equipment, how a vehicle moves between tracks, how sanding material is replenished, and how an existing depot can be modernized without treating each machine as an isolated purchase.
Only the product families documented in Bertolotti's CBP-specific portfolio are presented here.
Fixed and movable systems for controlled replenishment of railway sanding material.
SERVICE SYSTEMUnderfloor systems that lower bogies or axles out of the vehicle maintenance path.
RUNNING-GEAR EXCHANGERotate bogies or wheelsets so they align with workshop tracks or work positions.
SHOP FLOWBRS handling machines for lifting and rotating bogies or frames during overhaul.
BOGIE HANDLINGUnderfloor press architecture for controlled bogie dismounting work.
HEAVY MAINTENANCEPermanent roof-level access integrated with the maintenance bay.
ACCESSBERTUP mobile platforms for flexible roof-level work along the train.
ACCESSTemporary bogies and purpose-built service vehicles for non-standard maintenance needs.
SPECIAL ENGINEERINGBertolotti's configurable railway maintenance solution for project-specific depot applications.
CONFIGURABLE SYSTEMMove complete rolling stock laterally or rotate it where depot geometry requires.
VEHICLE MOVEMENTAutomated guided vehicles for controlled movement of railway components or assemblies in production environments.
PRODUCTION FLOWModernization and re-engineering of existing railway maintenance facilities and equipment layouts.
DEPOT MODERNIZATIONStart from the maintenance movement or workflow. The equipment family becomes clearer before model-level engineering begins.
Choose fixed or movable architecture from consumption rate, storage concept, dust control, filling points and available utilities.
Generic industrial equipment may solve one movement in isolation. Railway depot equipment must work with rails, pits, bogie interfaces, vehicle envelopes, roof systems, track geometry, civil works and repeated maintenance sequences.
| Maintenance problem | Bertolotti family | What drives selection |
|---|---|---|
| Replenish sanding material | Fixed / movable sanding system | Consumption, storage, dust control, filling points, utilities |
| Remove running gear | Bogie / axle drop system | Vehicle support, bogie mass, pit geometry, operating sequence |
| Position bogies for overhaul | Turntable / turning-lifting device / dismounting press | Mass, work face, disassembly method, shop layout |
| Reach roof equipment | Fixed / movable roof access platform | Vehicle envelope, roof equipment, working height, throughput |
| Move complete rolling stock | Traverser / locomotive turntable | Vehicle length/mass, travel distance, rotation envelope, foundation |
| Automate workshop flow | AGV / depot renovation | Material path, production sequence, legacy civil constraints |
Bertolotti supplied CBP with mobile working-platform technical information for KCIC's planned Level 4 maintenance program. The application illustrates the movable access-platform route for heavy rolling-stock maintenance. The project remains at opportunity / engineering-discussion stage.
Bertolotti issued a commercial offer and technical documentation for a set of dummy bogies and later followed up the project. The application demonstrates why auxiliary bogies are a distinct depot tool rather than simply a transport trolley.
A Bertolotti traverser budget proposal and technical specification were prepared for an Indonesian depot application, showing the lateral vehicle-transfer route where parallel workshop tracks require controlled cross movement.
