Gerflor Transport

France · Rail-vehicle flooring systems
Treat the floor as part of the rolling-stock system, not as commercial vinyl placed inside a train.
CBP ROUTE

The relationship, without the legal fog.

Established Indonesian rail-flooring relationship.

CBP presents the Traveller rail portfolio and project-supported accessories; no blanket claim is made over Gerflor’s wider commercial catalogue.

IN 30 SECONDS

Why ordinary flooring is the wrong comparison.

A rail floor has to survive passenger traffic, cleaning chemistry, subfloor movement, welded seams and vehicle-specific fire/smoke requirements while remaining light, repairable and dimensionally stable. Gerflor Traveller is engineered around those constraints; selection still depends on the exact vehicle assembly and required approval basis.
01

The problem

A floor failure is not cosmetic when seams open, bonding fails or the assembly no longer meets the vehicle requirement.
02

The rail-specific answer

Match fire/smoke evidence, weight, slip, backing, adhesive, welding and installation method as one assembly.
03

The buying decision

Choose the Traveller family only after the vehicle, subfloor, traffic and approval requirement are known.
THE CBP-RELEVANT OFFERING

A system, not a catalogue.

Current Gerflor material confirms six Traveller families. Certification and performance claims are product-specific; they are not interchangeable.

Project-specific passenger interiors where AP colour/construction is approved.
06

Traveller Classic LN

A current Traveller Classic family for rail interiors; confirm the exact project performance sheet before specification.
Best fit
Vehicle programs whose approved interior design calls for the LN construction.
07

Welding rods & seam system

Matched hot-welding consumables and installation process for flat, coved and vertical areas; seam treatment is part of water-tightness and lifecycle performance.
Best fit
New installation, repair and controlled replacement.
08

Cut-to-size / self-adhesive / shipsets

Factory preparation and installation options intended to reduce on-vehicle cutting and installation time where the selected Traveller product supports them.
Best fit
Production programs and repeat refurbishment with stable drawings.
09

Coving, edge, accessibility & finishing elements

Project-specific edge, cove, step, tactile/accessibility and wayfinding solutions where supported by the approved system.
Best fit
Doors, wheelchair areas, transitions, steps and perimeter detailing.
PRODUCT ARCHITECTURE

How the portfolio fits together.

01

Specify the assembly

Vehicle requirement + subfloor + fire/smoke basis.
02

Choose the surface

Traveller family + colour + traffic/slip needs.
03

Engineer the installation

Adhesive + self-adhesive option + weld + coving/edges.
04

Protect continuity

Batch/colour control + repair stock + welding rods.
SELECTION LOGIC

Which Traveller floor should you investigate first?

This is a qualification path, not a substitution table. Final selection must follow the current product sheet and the vehicle approval basis.
STEP 1

What fire/smoke requirement applies?

Start with the exact rolling-stock requirement and vehicle category. Evolution has current EN 45545-2 R10 HL2 and NFPA 130 evidence; do not transfer that claim to another Traveller family without its own evidence.
STEP 2

Is the priority design flexibility or installed-fleet continuity?

For new design programs, compare Evolution and Discovery first. For replacement, identify the installed Traveller family, colour, batch history and welding system before changing anything.
STEP 3

How will it be installed?

Confirm subfloor material and condition, adhesive compatibility, self-adhesive availability, cut-to-size strategy, weld type, coving and edge treatment.
STEP 4

Where will passengers use it?

High-traffic zones, door areas, wheelchair spaces and transitions may require different detailing even when the base floor family stays the same.
STEP 5

What must remain serviceable later?

Define replacement stock, colour consistency, welding rods, repair method and minimum retained material before the fleet enters service.
WHY THIS PRINCIPAL?

The useful difference is in the mechanism.

WHAT A GENERIC DESCRIPTION SAYS

“Vinyl floor covering.”

That description ignores the vehicle assembly, certification basis, welded seams, mass, adhesion, cleaning regime and replacement architecture.
WHAT ACTUALLY CHANGES

Railway flooring is a system boundary.

Gerflor Traveller combines a rail-specific surface with backing, bonding, welding and installation methods. The differentiator is not decoration; it is controlled performance inside a rail vehicle.
PROJECT PROOF

Evidence, with the stage left intact.

INDONESIA · REPEAT PROGRAM

INKA / IMST · 612-car replacement supply

Product / application
Gerflor Traveller flooring, current Classic-family colours and welding rods.

Stage
2025 supply records verified; 2026 repeat PO and shipment execution verified. Final installation and acceptance are not claimed.
What the evidence proves
Repeated procurement through the INKA/IMST chain proves continuity of Gerflor rail-flooring supply and CBP logistics support. It does not prove the customer’s original selection rationale.
INDONESIA · CURRENT SUPPLY

2026 Gerflor shipment program

Product / application
Everest and Kilimanjaro vinyl plus welding rods within the 612-car replacement program.

Stage
PO and shipment scheduling/execution evidenced; final vehicle installation not established.
What the evidence proves
CBP can coordinate product availability, batch logistics and time-critical delivery. Acceptance and in-service performance remain separate evidence states.
WHAT CBP ADDS

The local job is more than forwarding a brochure.

  • Translate vehicle requirements into a floor-system qualification brief.
  • Confirm Traveller family, colour and current technical documentation with Gerflor.
  • Coordinate samples, approval material and OEM technical clarifications.
  • Align subfloor, adhesive, welding, coving and repair details with the project.
  • Control ordering, shipment staging and urgent air/sea logistics when required.
  • Maintain project-specific replacement-stock and welding-rod continuity.
  • Support technical questions during installation and replacement planning.
  • Keep project proof separate from engineering rationale; no invented procurement motive.
ENGINEERING LAYER

What matters once the shortlist is right.

Why the backing matters

Rail vehicles often use non-porous composite, GFRP, aluminium or steel subfloors. Current Traveller documentation uses textile backing to improve bonding and reduce bubbling risk; subfloor preparation still controls the result.

Why seams matter

Traveller installation guidance treats hot welding as part of the water-tight system. Welding rod, groove preparation, temperature, adhesive cure and corner treatment affect the finished assembly.

Why fire/smoke claims must stay product-specific

Evolution's current data sheet states EN 45545-2 R10 HL2 and NFPA 130. Traveller Classic and other variants have their own evidence. The project must use the certificate that actually belongs to the proposed product and assembly.

Why replacement stock matters

A rail floor may stay in service for years. Colour, batch, remaining roll length, welding rods and storage condition become maintenance data, not warehouse trivia.
